At Eden, everything we do is based upon our four pillars of CARE: Connect to Nature, Align to Purpose, Respect the Ritual, and Engineer the Experience.

This philosophy is extremely important to us, and is something we believe resonates not just within our staff and our ideology at Eden, but also amongst our wider community. We know that many of our guests carry these four pillars of CARE with them after they pass through the gates.

A large number of our guests leave Eden with the intention to connect with various projects to help change the lives of others. We are continually blown away by the altruism of our guests and their passion for charitable projects and their desire to help others.

With this in mind, Eden Health Retreat has established a new charity initiative. Introducing Community Matters

The aim of Eden’s Community Matters is to support like-minded charities and fundraisers – organisations whose values echo and reflect our own pillars of CARE.

Over the past few decades we have supported many different charities in several ways. These include a significant amount of cash-value donations and in-kind contributions, gifted to various charitable foundations around Australia.

We are now looking to the future and hope to help a charity, event or foundation of your choice. This newly-created charity alliance will open the opportunity up to those who wish to seek our support in order to help those in need.

If you would like to become a part of our Community Matters initiative, please submit the form below to nominate your favourite or selected charity. New philanthropy partners will be chosen every three months and will receive the full support and endorsement from Eden Health Retreat in the most opportune way.

CHARITIES WE’VE PARTNERED WITH

Currumbin Wildlife Hospital

Currumbin Wildlife Hospital first opened in 1989, to provide urgent care to Australian wildlife. Today, it’s grown to be one of the busiest wildlife hospitals in the world, treating, rehabilitating, and releasing sick, injured, and orphaned native wildlife every day. This service is provided free of charge to the community.

Thousands of wildlife animals would struggle to survive without the lifesaving treatment by the incredible team of wildlife veterinarians, nurses, researchers, volunteers, and network of carers. As the admissions continue to rise each year, so does the need for community support and donations. This support ensures the hospital releases hundreds of native animals back into the wild every month.

Currumbin Wildlife Hospital is leading the way with research and conservations programs, all with the same mission, to save native wildlife.

Women’s Community Shelters

Existing services cannot meet the demand for crisis accommodation for women who are homeless. More than one in two women across Australia who seek a bed in a crisis shelter are turned away every night, mostly due to a lack of space.

Women’s Community Shelters works with communities to establish new shelters, which provide short term emergency accommodation and support in a safe environment that enables homeless women to rebuild self-esteem and achieve control and fulfilment of their lives. WCS currently have eight shelters and are working to expand our network to at least nine additional shelters across NSW.

The support offered by Eden to our mission is invaluable. At a time of reduced government spending, Women’s Community Shelters offers a new and ground-breaking ‘tri-partite’ funding model in which Government, philanthropy/business and community all work to provide funding to establish and operate shelters. With Eden’s support, we have been able to raise much needed funds that will help us fulfil our mission – establishing an Australia where women are safe, secure, supported and equal
